What can you expect from a UE concert? Well, besides an amazing singer there for sure are some heavy riffs, slick bass lines, and some driving drums to be expected! If you’re in a good mood, then this is the place for you to be – and if not, than we’ll turn that frown upside down and bamboozle you with our groove 😉

This was the last show before the works on our first ever EP took over our complete time resources. And then in March 2020, live shows were unfortunately not that common and/or possible for quite some time :-S

As a first in the band’s history, we were playing outside of Vienna as well as being part of a small festival. Unfortunately, the weather transformed the planned open-air to an indoor event, but we made the best of it and have great T-Shirts to show for it 😊
After some soul-searching we decided to switch back to our original name and became Underdog Exile once again. Filled with excitement about the change back to our roots as well as new songs and soon to be started recordings we played one of our best (if not the best) set until this point.
The first, and hopefully last, show that we had to cancel… May the gods protect the throats of all singers out there, so that stuff like this won’t occur too often. At least Nico and Ben had a cool interview with the sponsor/ OVERDUB ‘EM TV:
"Yesterday we – the OVERDUB 'em TV crew – interviewed three partially appeared bands: hisham, Shade of Illusion and Traumwerk. we had a cool time listening to their stories, thoughts and visions..."

The last show of our beloved bass player Ronny, who left not only us but also Austria with destination Stockholm, Sweden. The highlight of the evening was our original singer Alice joining us on stage for the final encore!
The second (and last) time that we opened for Psycho Village. Even though our playtime on stage was cut short somewhat unexpectedly, the full house in one of our favorite spots in Vienna (the amazing ViperRoom) and the support of the crowd was well worth the trouble.

Our first show sporting our new front-woman Yvonne – and with the new band of Alfredo Hernandes (ex-Queens of the Stone Age, ex-Kyuss) no less! Again a great night with our friends and supporters, and of course our fellow bands on-stage!
After writing further Songs, we decided to switch to a different band name “Shade of Illusion”. The first show under this new name was in the sacred and, much to our delight, sold-out Viper Room in Vienna! As support band for Psycho Village with the most tickets sold, we had the honour of closing the evening as last band.

Our very first show! Fuelled with adrenaline and slightly nervous, we rocked the FaniaLive at the famous Gürtel in Vienna. We can still remember when we finished our set (i.e. all of the 5-6 original Songs that we had back then ^^) and the crowd wanted an Encore.
We: “Well, but we simply don’t have any more songs yet for you guys, unfortunately ☹”
Them: “Then just play the ones that you have AGAIN, they were great!”
Also, some of our friends came after the show to us and, one by one, told us: “Dude, we just wanted to be polite, listen to two or three songs and then duck out – BUT YOU GUYS WERE, IN FACT, REALLY GOOD!!” <3
